Notes on Sourcehut

Sourcehut is a software forge site consisting of a suite of project management tools (services) for software development.

Services

The main tools are:

hub.sr.ht: central location for your projects (hub.sr.ht redirects to sr.ht). A project is for grouping related repos together. You can list a website for a project.
git.sr.ht: your git repos hosted here (a repo may belong to a project)
todo.sr.ht: your bug trackers are hosted here
man.sr.ht: your manuals and wikis (a wiki is backed by a repo)
lists.sr.ht: your mailing lists

Note:

When you log in to sourcehut you land at your projects page (https://sr.ht/).
While you can connect a mailing list or ticket tracker to a project, you don’t have to — they exist separately from eachother.
To see all the repos in a project, click the “sources” tab.
Sourcehut doesn’t currently (as of 2023-06-13) have “orgs” like github, though these may be coming in the future. Another planned feature for the future is backlinks from repos to their project (if they belong to one).
